The Financial Monitoring Agency (FMA) has completed its pre-trial investigation into residents of the Ulytau region regarding a financial pyramid scheme.
According to the FMA, two citizens had been advertising the "MetaGo" financial pyramid for over nine months, as well as managing its structural subdivision in the Zhezkazgan area.
It is reported that the suspects solicited funds from residents of the region. The damage caused by their activities exceeded 68 million tenge, and law enforcement authorities have seized property worth more than 37 million tenge.
Recall that earlier, it was reported that employees of the FMA department for the Ulytau region had identified two residents of Zhezkazgan who were suspected of advertising the "MetaGo" financial pyramid.
