Convicted officials from the East Kazakhstan Region transport control inspectorate

The East Kazakhstan Regional Court has passed a sentence against the head of the region's transport control inspectorate Nuraliyev B. and his deputy Turakbayev A. 

According to the press service of Anticor, they were found guilty of abuse of office and "illegal participation in business activities by transporting ore exceeding weight parameters". The damage to the state was estimated at 63 million tenge. 

As a result, the court found Nuraliyev and Turakbayev guilty and sentenced them to imprisonment for 4 and 3 years respectively, with a lifelong ban on holding positions in the civil service. The sentence has entered into legal force. 

Earlier, the court sentenced the acting head of the transport control inspectorate for Astana, Kudaibergenov K., and his accomplice Shumbasova B. to 10 years in prison

They were accused of creating and leading an organised criminal group (OCG), forging diagnostic cards, and entering false information into the information system regarding the passing of technical inspections. Another 13 members of the OCG received 5 years each in prison, while four were sentenced to 2 years of restricted freedom.
