The son of Bolat Nazarbayev, Khanbolat, has regifted a building in Astana that he was ordered to demolish to his brother.
According to the Telegram channel «Nege.Aqsha», his brother is Daniyar Kesikbayev - they share the same mother but have different fathers.
To recap, in March 2024, Khanbolat Nazarbayev was fined for illegal construction of a shopping and entertainment centre on Tauelsyzdyk Avenue in Astana. Previously, a hotel with a restaurant was located on this site.
It was reported that the plot of land was given to Khanbolat in February 2020 under a gift agreement, apparently as a birthday present. He demolished the complex and began building a shopping centre on its site without the necessary permission or prior notification.
As a result, for violations of land legislation and legislation on architectural, urban planning and construction activities, Khanbolat Nazarbayev was fined 103,500 tenge and ordered to remove the illegal structure. However, instead of doing so, he decided to gift the property to his brother.
As has now become known, the Urban Environment Control and Quality Department has filed a lawsuit to invalidate the gift agreement.
«The order for forced demolition has been sent for execution to the RSU 'Department of Justice of the City of Astana of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan'. According to the department's information, it has been established that Kh. Bolatuly transferred this property under a gift agreement to D. Kesikbayev», said the head of the department, Gani Tazhiyev.
