«NurAgro» Agricultural Farm LLP has announced the sale of a plot of land covering approximately 1,460 hectares with apple orchards in the city of Konayev, Almaty Region.

According to the electronic trading platform, in addition to the apple orchard, the auction will include a vegetable storage facility with an adjoining complex of buildings, several structures, as well as vehicles and equipment.

A descending price auction is planned for 28 January. The starting price of the lot is 10,068,167,076 tenge, the minimum price is 3,356,055,692 tenge, and the guarantee deposit is 117,960,000 tenge.

As has been reported, in 2020 the revenue of the company «NurAgro» Agricultural Farm amounted to approximately 829.5 million tenge, in 2019 approximately 1.1 billion tenge, and in 2018 approximately 880 million tenge.

The sale of the apple orchard is likely taking place amid heightened scrutiny regarding the fate of orchards in the Almaty Region.

In 2022, Majilis deputy Bakytzhan Bazarbek initiated an inspection into the legality of the alienation of other fruit plantations — the Khamrayev orchards in Almaty, which were allegedly illegally alienated by former akims Viktor Khrapunov and Imangali Tasmagambetov.

In March 2024, Bazarbek reported that the «Mechta» residential complex, which was illegally built on the site of an apple orchard, was demolished in the foothills of the Kamenskoye Plateau in Almaty.

In December, an Almaty court declared invalid the sale transactions of apple orchards covering more than 846 hectares in Yermensai and ordered them to be transferred to the Ile-Alatau National Park. The lawsuit was initiated by prosecutors from the Bostandyk District, who identified violations in the transfer of land to «International Association of Clubs» (IAC) LLP in 2004.
