Medical workers in the Bulandinsky district of the Akmola region are complaining about a non-functioning septic tank, a rotten heating system, and crumbling ceilings in the ambulance station building.
According to Informburo.kz, a similar picture can be seen in the specialist vehicle bays. Local residents confirmed that the problem has existed for years.
"I roughly calculated how many pipes are needed myself. It's only a small amount needed – 600 thousand tenge. The ambulance service, as they say, will soon need rescuing itself", said community activist Murat Rakov.
According to the head doctor, the design and estimate documentation for the repair of the bay is currently undergoing state expertise. It is tentatively planned that 115 million tenge will be allocated for this. However, it is reported that the funds will only be received after the approval of the maslikhat and not this year.
Meanwhile, local residents are concerned about the appearance of the former polyclinic building, which currently houses the dispatch centre.
"The expertise has now been completed, and it came out to a very large sum – 1.64 billion tenge – when this money will come, I cannot say, but overall our hospital and polyclinic currently meet sanitary standards", noted the chief doctor of the Bulandinsky District Hospital, Zhanat Musin.
It has become known that the hospital building was last renovated in 2021. During the renovation, an industrial ventilation system was installed, the dismantling of which will again require design and estimate documentation and 54 million tenge.
It is also reported that the purchased Dutch CT scanner is standing idle. After installation, it was discovered that the transformer lacked the power capacity for its operation, and additional funds will be required to upgrade it.
Among other issues, the village has problems with housing for new employees of the medical facility. There is nowhere to place them; the last apartments were given to doctors in 2019. Now, because of this, four medical workers are currently living in wards of the former infectious diseases hospital.
"The design and estimate documentation is ready, which is currently undergoing the state expertise procedure and will be ready by the end of September this year. After the state expertise is passed, a budget application for major repairs will be submitted", assured the press secretary of the Akmola region health department, Kamila Abdelmanova.
