The prosecutor's office of the Turksib district of Almaty has uncovered the illegal disposal of property belonging to NJSC «K. Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University» (KazNTU).
According to the department's press service, the former university management illegally leased a dormitory to a private university without holding a tender, despite a shortage of living space. Subsequently, the private university purchased the premises in violation of regulations.
As a result, following a lawsuit by the prosecutor's office of the Turksib district, the disputed administrative building with an area of more than 2500 m2 was returned to the national university.
It should be recalled that in February, the Almaty prosecutor's office returned educational buildings and a stadium to Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (KazNPU).
