About 3.6 billion tenge has been allocated from the government reserve to complete the reconstruction of 9.2 km of main heating networks in Aktau. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

According to the government press service, the project implementation began in 2024. To date, 5.5 km of heating networks have been laid in a twin-pipe configuration.

"The old steel pipes are being dismantled and replaced with modern pipes in polyurethane foam insulation with a diameter of 530 to 1020 mm. Additionally, 375 defects identified during the 2024–2025 heating season have been completely eliminated," the statement said.

It has become known that the total length of Aktau's heating network is 562 km. The rate of deterioration is 79%

The project is expected to reduce the deterioration of the city's heating networks to 75%, improve the reliability and quality of heat supply, increase the capacity of hot water supply, and reduce operational costs.

At the same time, as part of the implementation of the national project "Modernisation of the Energy and Utilities Sectors", the reconstruction and construction of 175 km of networks and heat sources is planned by 2029. It is noted that the project aims to reduce network deterioration and improve the quality of utility services by attracting investment.

Recall that earlier, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov signed a resolution to allocate more than 2.5 billion tenge from the government reserve for repair and restoration work on heating networks in the East Kazakhstan Region.
