On the eve of Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the Karagaily microdistrict of Semey, keys to apartments were ceremonially presented to 237 socially vulnerable families. The city mayor, Nurbol Nursagatov, congratulated the happy recipients of the new housing.
"First of all, I wholeheartedly congratulate you on Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan! Today in the city of Semey, large families, citizens with special needs, public sector workers, and children without parental care are becoming owners of new apartments", noted Nurbol Nursagatov.
He also stated that with the support of the head of state, the pace of construction in Semey has increased significantly in recent years. 
The mayor reminded that in March, in the same Karagaily microdistrict, keys to 77 apartments were handed over to citizens on the housing waiting list. Furthermore, in 2023, 211 people from the waiting list received new housing.
"In recent years, this has been a vivid manifestation of social justice in our state, a kind step towards improving the living conditions of our people", believes Nurbol Nursagatov.
Many had been waiting for this moment for more than one year. As one of the new apartment owners, a mother of four children, recounted, she had been waiting for the coveted key for 14 years.
It is noted that the ceremonial event concluded with a festive concert, and for the children, fun dances with animators were organised.
