22.7 billion was additionally allocated for the restoration of infrastructure after the floods

The Government of Kazakhstan has additionally allocated 22.7 billion tenge from the emergency reserve to eliminate the consequences of the spring floods and restore destroyed infrastructure facilities.

According to the press service of the department, the corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

It is reported that the funds will be directed to local executive bodies for the restoration and construction of roads, bridges, and culverts in the Akmola, Aktobe, Kostanay, and North Kazakhstan regions.

It has become known that in the Aktobe region, 31 projects will be implemented, including the repair of culvert pipes on the Yrgyz-Nura, Yrgyz-Kutikol, Kumtogay highways, the road to the village of Uil, the reconstruction of a bridge over the Uil River, and the construction of a bridge crossing in Aike village in the Aiteke Bi district.

In the Akmola region, it is planned to carry out the reconstruction of a section of the road to the city of Atbasar, the Atbasar-Sochinskoye highway, repairs to the Zhaltyr-Makinsk roads, the approach to the villages of Koluton, Zhambyl and other settlements.

In the Kostanay region, it is planned to reconstruct 22 roads, including some bridges. Repairs to about 10 culvert structures are also expected.

In the North Kazakhstan region, they intend to repair 10 roads, including along the Kokshetau-Omsk route, as well as carry out medium repairs on 22 km of culvert pipes.

"The allocated funds will allow local executive bodies to promptly restore the damaged sections of roads after the floods, ensuring the safe movement of the population", the statement reads.

Let us recall that a few days ago, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the restoration of housing and infrastructure after the floods, at which he said that some regions of the country are 15-25 days behind the work schedule.

In particular, he noted low construction rates in the West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Akmola, and Atyrau regions.
