The brother of the former deputy head of Almaty police was implicated in a smuggling case.
After a fatal road accident on Al-Farabi Avenue in Almaty, which led to the dismissal of several police chiefs, it has emerged that the brother of former deputy head of the Almaty Police Department, Yerzhan Uzabayev, had previously been involved in a criminal case concerning smuggling and was on the international wanted list.
