AFM uncovered a scheme for illegally issuing loans worth 146 million tenge
The Albi pawnshop chain continued to issue loans secured against jewellery despite lacking authorisation. According to the investigation, the criminal proceeds exceeded 146 million tenge, and the interest rate on the loans was more than six times the permitted level.
