Eight US states have filed separate lawsuits against OpenAI, alleging that the ChatGPT chatbot may encourage dangerous behaviour, reinforce delusional beliefs and help users plan violence. The authorities are demanding that the service's operation be changed and that monetary sanctions and compensation be recovered from the company.
