In July 2026, the Border Service of the National Security Committee (BS NSC) reported the detention of 4,975 violators of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the border area and the prevention of 2,476 cases of illegal movement of goods and cargo across the state border. The total value of prevented illegal movement exceeded 3.9 billion tenge.
