Authorities have confirmed flooding and erosion of a section of road in the Akzhar district of the North Kazakhstan region. A build-up of water occurred near the village of Bostandyk.
WHAT CAUSED THE FLOODING
It is reported that the flooding is linked to intensive snowmelt and the inflow of floodwaters. Earlier in comments under a post, it was noted that the erosion occurred on a section which is not an access road and does not affect traffic movement.
The official response to the enquiry clarifies that the road surface on the Bostandyk - Kishikaroy route was damaged as a result of the flooding.
An additional factor noted is the presence of a culvert within the roadbed, which supplies water to five villages. According to the akimat, the road section has already been resurfaced with earth.

CONTEXT
Earlier, the FBRK editorial office received video recordings of flooding on this section. Sources noted that the water had spread between the villages of Mayskoye and Bostandyk. We surmised the situation could be related to infrastructure works on the water supply.
Specifically, a project is being implemented in the district to construct off-takes from the Bulayevo group water pipeline, and the connection of villages to the water supply system is ongoing.
