A bus that collapsed into the ground with people on board at the Maikainzoloto mine in the Pavlodar region was found six months later.
"Yesterday evening, during earthworks, a rescue bus was discovered. Due to weather conditions (rain and wind) and the ongoing threat of a collapse, work is being carried out with extreme caution. Today, from 05:00 (03:00 Moscow time), search operations resumed. At the moment, we have managed to reach the front part of the vehicle, with the bumper and wheel visible on the surface," reported the press service of the Pavlodar region akimat.
The body of the 55-year-old driver, Aiyp Tleubergenov, has not yet been found.
Recall that on 4 January, near the Maikain mine shaft, a bus carrying four mine rescuers fell into a 150-metre-deep pit of the treatment area. Later, information emerged about the discovery of two bodies. A few days ago, the body of a third rescuer, 36-year-old Aidos Shaimerden, was found.
Search teams had already managed to find the rescuers' bag containing a logbook and a body part of the bus with its state registration number back in winter. It was also reported that a bus wheel was found under the rubble. Out of desperation, the rescuers' families even invited a psychic to the scene of the incident.
Furthermore, it became known that the court examined the case of the tragedy at the Maikainzoloto mine. The commission that conducted the investigation concluded that the fault lies entirely with the employer.
